I just have to say I am glad I’m following @kaytradamus. He posted a comment about a Soulection release we should all check out. His words about it were “wOwowowhoa” and I agree with no end in sight. This link led me to discover Modlee & Vlooper digital release Sunwalk Ep. I have not stopped playing it for the last few hours. Coming from Montreal, QC, these two artists have the realest R&B hip-hop fusion I have heard in a long time. I can do nothing but see how Erykah Badu and Serge Gainsbourg have influenced these two. They have their motivation, relaxed sound and just take over it with their own uncontrollable creativity. With the beats still hitting heavy and the vocals of Modlee tranquilizing the senses you can’t go wrong with this EP. My favorite tracks right out of the gate are “All Matter (Bilal’s)” and “Pon DI LUV”. Pon reminds me of Dilla, has a raw beat maker feel to it. Vlooper let loose on this track and Modlee vocals are just the right touch for the track. Get the EP now and show some support.
