British fashion brand Underground makes authentic, rock ‘n’ roll-inspired shoes including Steel Cap Boots and Creepers like the England ‘Bowie.’ The Underground Creepers use authentic tooling and lasts to ensure that the look and shape remain true to its origin ensuring that they remain the popular choice on stage and on the runway. More recently Underground has been adopted by couture designers whose collections have been inspired by uncompromising style. Bowie is a twin-buckle ankle boot with an interlaced apron, built on a walled, pointed-toe last. It also comes in crocodile print. Inspired by the ferocity of punk and founded in its aftermath, creepers were first worn by new romantics, goths and new wavers in 1970s London. As the go-to shoe for the intrepid, the rebellious and the subversive, the Rockabilly revival has seen the Creepers out in full force once again.
