Album: Popular Culture
Artist: XV
Released: June 15, 2012

Kansas grown emcee, XV has been on his grind for a while but his latest project Popular Culture is giving him more recognition than his last tapes, Thanks for the Donuts and Zero Heroes which were released in 2011. This Mixtape is a direct homage to popular culture suggested by the very fresh cover art and XV taking stabs at some of your favorites, with songs like “Aaahh! Real Monsters” ft. Schoolboy Q & B.O.B., “Breaking Bad” ft. Raja, and “Andy Warhol” ft. Slim The Mobster – by which are nothing like their famous titles that’s for sure. XV has great story telling abilities and with production behind him from The Awesome Sound, Pop Culture most definitely deserves a listen. If you have been riding with XV from the beginning and have seen his SXSW performance you know this project is solid and will without a doubt keep your ears open for his first EP Awesome dropping June 26. Cop Popular Culture here.
