Cam Gnarly makes his mixtape debut, with the AirBorne INTL. presented, Cam Meets World.
The fourteen track mixtape contains production by Illumidonni, UrKillinMeRichie, Yung Miss, Grand Wizard, ABCGrade, and the notable Preme Beats (you might be familiar with his recent work on Casey Veggie‘s CG3). The features on this project are cut to a minimum with Aaron Maes, DCxDCxDC, Amanda Clauson, Grand Wizard, & AirBorne INTL., allowing Cam to well represent himself as a solo artist .
The slight egotistical (no negative connotation behind that) “Me vs. Me”, produced by Illumidonni, is a banger. It’ll have you swinging back and forth and side-to-side.
“OMG (Oh My Gnar)”, also produced by Illumidonni, is a perfect blend between R&B and Hip Hop sounds. The track samples Aaliyah’s “Rock The Boat” in a sensual manner over synthesizers, snares, and an old school throwback. Surely this track is enough to grasp the ladies attention and have us saying- “Oh My Gnar”!
And what’s a mixtape now a days without a trill track?
Cam Gnarly alongside AirBorne INTL. bring the chopped and screwed track “TRILLZ” to this project, adding a little southern influence to the mixtape.
Among the tracks that most capture the ear are “Hypercool” (feat. Aaron Maes) and “Salud”, with heavy incorporated horns and live band feel.
Cam Gnarly’s Cam Meets World is overall a decent mixtape debut. The beats are pretty much on point along with the lyricism, making it enough for the listener to keep an ear to the project.
There’s plenty decent music and artists flowing out the I.E. and Cam Gnarly, we believe, is one them. With that being said, give Cam Meets World a listen (or two, or more) and spread the word!
