French born designer Sabine Ducasse spent four years in China virtually living out this years theme for the IFA Paris fashion show ‘East Meets West’. Her collection ‘The Melting Pot’ represents just that with her breathtaking infusion of French design technique, namely couture plissé, with structured jackets and corsets made from melted plastic and wire molds. Her interpretation of this spiritual meeting between East and West plays on the shared culture of pixels, video games, layers and geometric patterns and takes you to a kaleidoscopic world of two cultures perfectly blended.
