Sam Rodriguez “Fractions”

Sam Rodriguez is an emerging artist who has a collection of skills/talents including graphic design, walls, paintings and drawing who currently resides in San jose, Ca. His work has been exhibited at Anno Domini, Oakland Museum of Art (group exhibit), Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana (MACLA), and Known Gallery (group exhibit). “Fractions” is a new exhibit continuing his ongoing series of work involving questions and ideas about identity in style and culture. This time the work involves more “fractioning” as Rodriguez calls it where his painted dissections of the human face are intended to further emphasize and explore the idea of people as walking “melting pots”. Sam include’s his own style/perception to find interest in everyone’s unique blend and character that he culminates into elements of life and expressions. “Fractions” by Sam Rodriguez will open Thursday, September 20th and stay open until to October 18th, 2012 at the Loft in Space in Hawaii.
