It was a jam packed night, October 27th, at the Observatory as the LongLiveA$AP Tour reached a stop in the city of Santa Ana.

Frantic fans filled the 1,000 limit capacity room leaving little to no elbow room. Seemed like the whole city came out to what has been one of the most anticipated tours of the year.

The LongLiveA$AP Tour consisted of none other than four of the hottest breakout Hip-Hop acts of 2012: Danny Brown, ScHoolBoy Q, A$AP Mob & A$AP Rocky.

The show promptly began around 8pm. With no opening acts prior to, Danny Brown started the night hyping the crowd with his unique flow, performing tracks off his acclaimed XXX album.

ScHoolBoy Q got on second and tore the building down! Performing for what was nearly an hour set, the TDE/Interscope artist used the stage to full advantage and gave a phenomenal performance. Between the raps of his albums Setbacks and Habits & Contradictions, Q fed the crowd his heavy energy as he dove into the crowd about 4 times throughout his set, the crowd would go nuts. But the myriad of bodies jumped with uproar when TDE’s secret weapon Ab-Soul made an appearance on the stage alongside his comrade. The building filled with countless hands showing up three fingers in the air- HiiiPoWeR! Groovy Q really turned up the hype level for what was to come next.

The lights dimmed and chopper noises began to sound off. The stage had a backdrop of three soldiers in camouflage facing East towards the sun with an American flag at hand. The DJ’s table was decorated with a cargo net and surrounded by sand bags. Two wooden pallets were located on the each side of the stage, for which two men in all black with their face covered with a gas mask used as a platform to stand upon.

The crowd let out screams as a figure emerged from behind the curtains on the side of the stage dressed in white sneakers, long white socks, white hoodie, camofluage shorts, a black ski-mask, and an American flag held across the back, like a cover- It was A$AP Rocky! Yams, J. Scott, Fergy, Twelvyy, Ant, and Nast all joined in after a few minutes falling into the A$AP Mob performance. The Mob performed cuts off their recent collective debut Lord$ Never Worry.

Roughly around 10:30 pm the show took a 10-15 minute break, allowing A$AP Rocky a minimal clothes change before jumping into his solo set.

Rocky came back out, sporting the same attire except for a black tee. He performed crowd favorites such as “Purple Swag”, “Kissing Pink”, “Peso”, among others off his critically acclaimed LiveLoveA$AP mixtape. Midway through his performance he brought out ScHoolBoy Q onto the stage once again. They both sat on the wooden pallets exchanging dialogue. Rocky asked the crowd to sing Q the birthday song, for his birthday had been the night before- everyone sang a warm ‘Happy Birthday’ to Puffy. Shortly after that, both jumped into a performance of their collaborations “Hands On The Wheel” and “Brand New Guy”, for which the fans went crazy. That was ultimately the highlight of Rocky’s set, next to A$AP Rocky leaving us with the recent hit single “Goldie”.

The LongLiveA$AP Tour really took over OC, with a completely sold out show! Danny Brown, ScHoolBoy Q, A$AP Mob & Rocky definitely know how to put on a great show!

If you missed it, sorry, I don’t know what else to say besides… you fucked up!
