As the highly anticipated BET Weekend swiftly came to an end, creators, fashionistas, and musicians are geared up for what was guaranteed to be a delightful experience in the world of fashion and entertainment.

On the evening of June 26th, ILLSOCIETY was in attendance as Melrose Ave rolled out the carpet in a big way, with the official launch party of “The Collective”: A Popup Shop Experience curated by Manny J Style. The exclusive BET week experience was presented by KS Consulting Inc., and Chris Mannor and celebrated the launch of Divas and Dolls e-boutique. Divas and Dolls is a one stop shop founded by owner Breann Cook offering a wide selection of the latest most desired women’s designer clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories. With apparel inspiring you to “flaunt your diva and play dress up to your inner doll” the charming and eclectic collection is a must-have for any girl inspired to celebrate the Queen in her.

As the Los Angeles skyline dipped into darkness, the cameras flashing lights on the red carpet illuminated the experience inside B by Aperire on Melrose Ave. Models inside were standing propped by the window entrance, styled in the new collection of apparel by Divas and Dolls, as DJ La La Land filled the atmosphere with the greatest hip-hop jams. Guests may or may not have been encouraged to diddy bop as they mingled with attendees and viewed the dopest fashions which included collections from Dash One by Dash, Duhh Clothing, DVMN Pigeon , Closet Freak, BLOW Life , Candy Coated Swimwear, Prep Jerks and Chablee Accessories. Ladies also were pampered in the beauty lounge that featured makeup sessions by Nakeah Cosmetics, a brand dedicated to making women look and feel their absolute best without any doubts. The event also included a pastry bar by Chef Danielle, which included lollicups in the flavors of Red Velvet, Pink Lemonade, and Bacon Chocolate. Yes, I did say Bacon Chocolate. The sequence of flavors intrigued and delighted the taste buds of attendees. “The Collective” Pop-Up Shop Experience included all the latest attire from brands such as DVMN Pigeon, Coated Swimwear, Prep Jerks, ClosetFreak, Blow Life, and Chablee accessories made available throughout the entire week.
